Spoken Word Poetry
A meeting place for loves of words, of text analysis, of direct address, and of “true speech.” A workshop in search of accuracy, authenticity, and simplicity.
To find the proper voice for each piece of text, whatever its nature and degree of poetic complexity, in order to make images concrete, even the most abstract ones.

Dany Boudreault
Dany Boudreault completed his acting training at the National Theatre School of Canada in 2008. An actor mainly dedicated to creation, he has performed on stage with: Parce que la nuit, for which he collaborated on the writing with Brigitte Haentjens; A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Le songe d’une nuit d’été), where he was nominated for a Françoise Graton Award for his performance as Puck; The Decline of the American Empire (Le déclin de l’empire américain), A Streetcar Named Desire (Un tramway nommé désir), Les enivrés, and Éden. This year, he will be part of the cast of Châteaux du ciel at the Denise-Pelletier Theatre. This will be his second collaboration with Claude Poissant, with whom he worked ten years ago in The Dragonfly of Chicoutimi. At the same time, he wrote and performed Je suis Cobain (peu importe) at the Petite Licorne in 2010, as well as teh play (e), un genre d’épopée presented at the Jean-Claude Germain Theatre of the Centre du Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui in 2013.
As an author, Dany has published several collections of poetry and plays with Les Herbes rouges and Instant scène. His latest work, Corps célestes, was published by Le Quartanier. This seasons, he is writing an adaptation of Albert Camus et Maria Casarès’s correspondence Je t’écris au milieu d’un bel orage, presented at the TNM. For nine years now, he has been teaching actors in training at the National Theatre School of Canada. In 2018, he received the Bernard-Amyot award for excellence in teaching at the National Theatre School. He has also worked on several film and television productions.
