Acquire fluidity and confidence; develop a diversified body language on stilts. With a mix of technique and improvisation, participants will be given tools to evolve their stilt walking. Participants will be taught exercises for falling and getting up gracefully and safely and an emphasis will be placed on partner work, floor work, and choreographic work. This training aims to move away from the conventional stilt walk to deconstruct the verticality of the object and make it an extension of the agile body.
Ability to walk on stilts unassisted.
