Staging laboratory
This laboratory allows theatre artists, whether directors or not, to experiment with the concepts of directing through practical workshops. The creative process, directing actors, the language of design and other concepts of the conductor will be discussed with Édith Patenaude.

Fluency in French.

Édith Patenaude
Édith Patenaude graduated from the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Québec in 2006. She writes and acts, but it is directing that has become her favourite territory, which she sees expanding on the Quebec and Montreal stages, as well as on Canadian and European stages. She participated in the creation of le Ishow (winner of the Prix du meilleur spectacle Montréal awarded by the AQCT), co-directed Post Humains of Espace Libre at Schaubühne, undertook the adaptation of Shakespeare’s Titus at the Périscope and Prospero, attacked Oslo at Duceppe, and directed the creation of Corps Célestes at Centre du Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui, where she is an Associate Artist. Recently, she directed Les étés souterrains at la Licorne, The Crucible (Les Sorcières de Salem) at Denise-Pelletier, An Enemy of the People (Un Ennemi du people) at TNM and Trident, and Pétrole at Duceppe. For her directing work, she was awarded the Prix d’excellence des arts et de la culture for L’Absence de guerre, and the Prix de l’Association québécoise des critiques de théâtre for 1984 and for My Children Aren’t Afraid of the Dark (Mes enfants n’ont pas peur du noir).
